At your core, you are whole and healthy. Our aim is to identify the mental, emotional, and physical patterns that limit you from expressing your true nature. We will accomplish this by creating a relationship based around authentic communication, accountability, and acceptance. In order to assist you in connecting to your own resources and inner guidance, I use specific techniques such as breath regulation, mindful awareness, intuitive movement, and self-acceptance through somatic exploration directly in sessions. Clients who integrate these techniques into their daily lives feel at ease and are able to realize more of their potential.
As a body-centered counsellor, I work from a holistic perspective, meaning that I bring an element of gentle awareness to your physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental experiences. I also take into account societal influences as well as family-of-origin influences, and I respect your beliefs, values, goals, and dreams. With an emphasis on understanding how your past experiences are affecting your present life, our goal is to support you in becoming more fully yourself rather than changing who you are.
I utilize a creative and integrative approach to customize therapy sessions which will suit your individual needs. Working in an experiential way that is focused on your present moment allows our sessions to be alive, engaging, and transformative.
